Opening a bank account no longer requires visiting a branch or filling out stacks of paperwork. With Freebnk, you can create your virtual bank account directly from your phone. The entire process is secure, fully digital, and takes just a few minutes to complete.
Steps #
- 1. Open the app and tap on the Virtual Banks section in the bottom right corner.

- 2. Read and accept the Terms of Service to proceed.
- 3. Enter your citizenship number based on your country of residence.
- If you prefer to verify your identity with a different method, select Other and briefly describe the document you’ll be using.
- 4. Upload clear photos of both the front and back sides of your government-issued ID.
- You can also use a passport or a driver’s license as an alternative.
- 5. Enter your residential address completely and accurately.
- In the next step, you’ll be asked to upload an official document to verify your residential address. Please make sure to enter your actual place of residence accurately, as it must match the supporting document.
- Warning: Be careful not to use letters that do not exist in English when writing your address information. This may prevent your application from being received.
- 6. Upload a valid proof of address document.
- Accepted documents include:
- A bank statement
- A utility bill (electricity, water, internet, etc.)
- A government-issued letter
- A government-issued ID (issued within the last 90 days, showing your address)
- A residential lease agreement (must be current, can be older than 90 days if still valid)

- 8. Swipe the arrow at the bottom of the screen to submit your application.
Your application will be reviewed within 2–3 business days. Once approved, you’ll receive your Freebnk virtual IBAN and gain full access to your virtual banking tools.
